MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 30

Sneak peeks for this month's MFT stamp release started today and I was inspired by Jodi's card to make an 8th birthday card for my son to take to a birthday party tomorrow. Since I didn't have the new "By the Numbers" set that Jodi used, I broke out an old MFT set called "Bling Bers" instead. I used this weeks Wednesday Stamp Club sketch and paired it with some My Mind's Eye paper to create an 8th birthday card.

So how do you like the new blog look? I had fun playing around last night creating blog banners and layouts. The picture in the header is a picture I took in Ocean City, NJ. It's my happy place!

Have a great Friday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 104

It's Tuesday Morning again! Time for another challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week is sketch sponsored by KnK Designs. They were kind enough to supply us with some really cute images to work with.

For my card, I chose to use this adorable teddy bear. I just loved the sentiment that came with him. My design paper is from My Mind's Eye. I also flipped the sketch sideways in order to suit my image.

That's all for today. Be sure to stop by and leave the TMS girls some love!

A Couple of Challenge Cards

Got a chance to play at a couple of challenges last night, but did not get them finished and photographed until today. My first card is this weeks Wednesday Stamp Club sketch from MFT. I used the cute little PI set called Rose and paired her with some My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose paper (of course). The rose is made from the Large Rolled Rose Die-namic.

My second card uses two different challenges. The first is this week's Sparkle Creations challenge, which is to use your favorite Sparkle Creations stamp. My favorite is Cruisin' Chloe. I fell in love with her at first sight but only got her in the last few weeks. I wish I had her cute little VW Bug! The sketch for this card is this weeks Mojo 200 sketch. The design paper is My Mind's Eye and the circle element is a Medium Decorative Doily Die-namics die.

Have a great day! Keep cool!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 103

Happy Tuesday! It is time for another challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week is back to a sketch and I am excited because this one is mine! My husband helped me create this one a while back and it has been sitting around waiting to be used. This week's sponsor is By LORI Designs. I must say I have seen Lori's work before, but this is my first chance to use any of her images. I must say, I am in love!

For my card, I got to use one of Lori's Puddle Jumper stamps called Harper. She is adorable! I paired her with some girly paper from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment came with the set. I used ribbon and twine for my accents.

Be sure to stop by the TMS girls blogs and leave them some love!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 102

Welcome to Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge 102. Our sponsor for this week is Doodle Pantry. There is no sketch to follow for this challenge. The theme is "Summer Reading" and the challenge is to make a card with a bookmark so go wild!

For my card, I used this cute little alligator from Doodle Pantry. The design paper is also a digi paper from Doodle Pantry. For my pocket, I used the Die-namic pocket die and stamp set. My son is always bugging me for bookmarks. How long do you think it will take him to steal this one?

Be sure to check out what the other TMS gals have created and give this challenge a try yourself. Keep cool!

Gettin' Sketchy with It

I spent this afternoon getting caught up on some of the sketches on my desk. I started off with last Wednesday's MFT sketch. I pulled out my new set called Sew Nifty and paired it with October Afternoon-Schoolhouse papers. The flower is made with the Die-namics Large Rolled Rose die. I added the vines around the sentiment from the MFT set called Own Your Story.

My next card is this week's sketch challenge by Sparkle Creations. I am new to Sparkle's stamps, but am having fun playing with the ones I have. For this card, I used Surfing Oliver. I paired him with CTMH design paper and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Beach Bum set. I used two Die-namics sets called Decorative Doily and Rounded Banner Trio.
My last card is this week's Taylored Expression sketch. I loved all the banners in this sketch. I used Die-namics Banner die for the small banners and made the large banner myself. I used paper from Me & My Big Idea for the background and banners and then added Moka Lani to the large banner.
That's all for today. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 101

Here is this week's sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog. My card started out one way and ended up in a totally different direction.

As you can see, I replaced the circle image with a rainbow (1/2 circle) and then used a cloud where the sentiment should be. The rainbow is a die from MFT's Die-namics, as well as the clouds. The paper is from Echo Park. I used the MFT "You are unrepeatable" a la mode set.

Well, that's it for me today. Stop by the rest of the design team blogs and give them some love. Happy Tuesday!

CPS224

Happy July 4th! Since I was feeling bored just watching Disney XD, I headed down to play with last week's Card Positioning System sketch. The sponsor was Sparkle Creations, so I decided to use one of Sparkle's adorable stamps called Scooter Chloe. I used a scrap of DCWV paper from the Sweet Stack. I colored the scooter pink because I would love a pink Vespa to ride around town!

This month there is also a special challenge going on over at the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp Blog where you can win the entire August release by using on of the original eight stamps released by Sparkle Creations last year. Go check it out!

Stay tuned for tomorrow's Tuesday Morning Sketches post.

MFT Guest DT Challenge July 2011

This month's challenge for the MFT Guest DT spot is texture. I added little bits of texture here and there on my card like cork, felt, ribbon, and sparkly fluff. I used the set by Claire Keay called "Heartfelt." Isn't she cute? The design paper is all from My Mind's Eye. The sketch of this card is this month's Sketch 4 You To Try.

Here is a close up of the hearts and the sparkly fluff.

Have a great day!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 26

Didn't think I would have time to play along with Wednesday Stamp Club this week, but I had some unexpected down time today so...I got to play! It has been a very busy week this week. My sister is in town and we have been all over the place. We went to the beach, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Ground Zero, to the boardwalk, swimming, and to Philadelphia.

Here is my card. I used the Pure Innocence set called Poppin' By. The tickets are from the Who's That Girl set called Chick Flick. The design paper is Lilly Bee. The circle was cut with Dainty Doily Die-namics.

Check back tomorrow for my entry into the MFT Guest DT challenge for this month.
